Malicious Behavior

A trainer claims he didn't cross out the appointment for Wed 2/28. If this is true, someone else maliciously crossed if off the schedule. Either way, LA Fitness is screwing customers.

Screwed Again - The Ongoing Unprofessional Personal Training Problems at "LA Fitness"

It blows my mind but I just got completely screwed again by LA Fitness today.

I was speaking to Rhonda this afternoon about getting a copy of my contract and about getting credit for the training session on Sunday where I showed up and the trainer didn't show up with no phone call. I didn't finish this conversation with Rhonda when I first spoke with her this afternoon and we agreed that I would call her back later in the evening. So I happened to mention that I was coming in tomorrow morning for a workout appointment and she happened to check the book to find I was crossed off the schedule and again no phone call to let me know the session was being cancelled. So I basically accidentally found out I wasn't on the schedule. I would have gotten up for nothing this morning. So in the couple weeks I've been trained I've basically now lost as many sessions as I have used do to mis-scheduling, appointment blow offs, and lack of follow-up.
They also don't really give you credit for missed sessions, they tell you to not clock in for your next session. A lame way of avoiding financial responsibility for their screwing over customers regularly while incurring no financial responsibility.
So far, I've been trained 3 times, and gotten screwed out of 5 training sessions. Great ratio.

Mark Irvin finally called me back but he was at the Alpharetta club when he called and left that number to call him back at. I didn't get the message in time to call him back while he was still at the club since he would only be there for 1 hour after leaving the message, but did leave a message for him at the Alpharetta club.

I emailed a regional manager and got his auto-response email back with the following footer information. This just goes to show you what weasels these guys are.

I also left message from Rachael x115 at Body of Change around 5am. She left a voice mail for me Friday at 4:47pm Eastern Time.

Sunday - 2/26/07 - Steven Doesn't Show Up

I had an appointment with Steven at 5pm. I hurried over to the gym to be there on time, and the trainer was not there. No phone call to advise that he would not show up. I spoke to Ian the assistant manager and Ian documented my concerns. So far 7 different employees or more at LA Fitness have acted in a negligent, disrespectful, or unprofessional manner resulting in denial of service to a paid member.
